MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS FOR SUMMERS

To feel comfortable and stay relaxed, it is extremely important to dress up as per the climatic conditions of the area, where you live. Particularly during summers, wearing something light not only keeps you cool, but also makes you appear attractive and refreshing. However, there are some people amongst us, who have to wear heavy uniforms even in warm and humid seasons. Yes, we are talking about the members of the marching band.
Regardless of the weather, the participants of the marching band are supposed to wear traditional hot uniforms, which at times, become unbearable to withstand. Often, these uncomfortable outfits that are made up of wool fabric even affect their performances.
However, now there is a breakthrough for those band teams, who are battling the rising hot temperature of their regions in their uniforms. Some of the leading band item manufacturing companies have recently introduced new marching band uniforms that are comparatively cooler than the woolen ones.
The reason for using wool in the manufacturing of traditional and old styled uniforms is its durability.
Wool uniforms last for a longer period of time. Furthermore, wool easily retains dye colors; keeping the uniform vibrant and spotless, which is how marching band members are supposed to look. Despite having so many potential advantages; woolen uniforms are still not appreciated by the players; as because for them, it becomes a challenge to perform energetically in such hot outfits.
Keeping this issue in mind, the industry’s most popular marching band uniform manufacturers, Bandmans, have created a new uniform, which is made up of 100% woven poly gabardine fabric. This material is much lighter as compared to the heavy, woolen uniforms. But with that, it is also durable and a very good absorber of colored dyes. So far, poly gabardine has successfully passed all the quality tests that it was subjected to, and therefore, most of the manufacturers are now offering around 10 years life time guarantee on these uniforms.
Another benefit of opting for this light product uniform is its cost effectiveness. Unlike wool, Poly gabardine is a synthetic material, which makes its manufacturing less expensive than the production of wool. This results in a cut down in the overall cost of uniform manufacturing; ultimately decreasing the price of the outfit.
Moving on, it is not only the uniform that is troublesome for the player during the summers. Rather marching band gloves have also becomes an issue. Traditional gloves that players wear during marching are usually not made up of breathable cotton, and due to perspiration in the hands, they result in a lose grip over the instruments. However, at Bandmans, the gloves are made up of 100% pure cotton, which assures breathability and tight grip.
