MARCHING BAND UNIFORMS FOR WINTER

Marching Band is the name given to any group of dancers and musicians with various instruments, who march and perform harmonized movements along with playing catchy music and tunes. The type of performance mainly depends on the theme of particular event they are performing at. Events can range from inauguration ceremonies, sporting events, etc.
Marching bands bring smiles to people’s faces and that is a result of their perfect skill to move as a single unit that is gracefully choreographed. The type of marching band uniform the group wears is decided by the theme of an event.
Marching Bands vs. Crippling Cold!
Many western states have recently started experiencing exceedingly cold winters with the temperatures falling as low as 23 degrees in numerous places. In order to stay warm in such a cold weather when deciding to go outdoors, it is crucial to dress warmly. However, this can prove to be quite a daunting task if one is a member of a marching band; as they may be instructed to perform at a football game in the team’s uniform. Marching band uniforms are usually designed of average materials and aren’t warm enough for cold winter. There is a silver lining though; you can now find new uniforms that are built to withstand the cruel cold air.
For winter, marching band uniforms are made of heavy wool fabric which is used due to its strong nature that can last for years to come. Also, this fabric works best when dyeing it with colors, and is good at retaining them as well.
Times and technology are rapidly changing, and along with that, the standard of the marching band uniforms is also developing. Manufacturers aware of this fact are now catering to marching bands that have to perform in the winter as well. Uniforms made of the new thicker fabric having 10 year guarantees from most manufacturers, are becoming available in the market. They brilliantly retain their color and aren’t as expensive as compared to other types of fabric too.
School Marching bands and their Uniforms
Schools marching bands in cold climates wear alternate uniforms, normally comprised of a sweater and thick pants for the winter, and a t-shirt and khakis for the summer. The system of alternative uniforms is a good idea for two main points. Firstly, the team will have comfortable marching band uniforms for summers and winters, in which they can perform without a worry. Secondly, with high quality uniforms, your school’s marching band will be proud to show off their colors and perform with far more enthusiasm than ever before.
It is known that marching band shows require music as well as a strong presence of body and mind. The only way to achieve this is when a performer can be comfortable in his or her skin. That in turn, is only possible when the performer is wearing comfortable and warm clothes in such an extremely cold weather.
